TIPS FOR FANS

The World Superbike Championship (WorldSBK) is renowned for its fan engagement, offering numerous opportunities for spectators to connect with riders and immerse themselves in the racing atmosphere. Whether you have a paddock pass or not, there are plenty of ways to get close to the stars of the series.

Fan Zone
Fan Zone is often a hub for rider interactions and entertainment. Stay updated by following the social media accounts of event organisers, teams, riders, and sponsors to find out when and where these meet-and-greets take place. It’s one of the easiest and most relaxed ways to interact with the riders.

Pit Lane Walk
The Pit Lane Walk is a must-do for fans looking to experience the racing environment up close. During the walk, you can explore the pit lane, watch teams work on bikes, and even interact with riders as they prepare for the race. It’s a behind-the-scenes opportunity that gives a unique glimpse into the mechanics and atmosphere of race day. Note that this activity is available only for Paddock/VIP ticket holders and requires an extra ticket upgrade.

Victory Lane
Another highlight is Victory Lane, where fans can join the post-race celebrations. After each Superpole session and race, the top three riders pass through the paddock area on their way to Parc fermé and the podium, giving fans the chance to interact with the winners. This is a rare opportunity to be part of the action and get closer to the riders.

Meeting riders: do’s and don’ts

  • Respect Their Time: Riders often have tight schedules and heavy responsibilities. If they seem rushed, don’t push for an autograph or photo. Be mindful of their time and personal space.
  • Bring Official Merchandise: Riders are more likely to sign official team gear, event programs, or memorabilia. Avoid asking for signatures on unrelated items like plain paper or random clothing.
  • Photos: Always be polite when asking for a photo. If possible, ask someone else to take the picture rather than attempting a selfie. Remember to respect the rider’s space—some might not be comfortable with physical contact.

Enjoying the race comfortably

  • Plan Ahead: To avoid long lines, plan your bathroom and meal breaks around peak times. This way, you can make the most of your time during key moments of the race weekend.
  • Stay Flexible: With a general admission ticket, you can access various areas around the circuit. Use this flexibility to move around and catch different perspectives of the race.

Where to watch the race from
To ensure you have the best viewing experience, consult our grandstand guides for detailed advice on the best spots to watch the race. Whether you're after close-up views, great photo opportunities, or an adrenaline-pumping corner, choosing the right seat is crucial. A few tips:

  • Consider the distances: Circuits can be expensive, and getting from one area to another can take time, especially with large crowds. Plan your movements strategically.
  • Track Invasion: If there’s a track invasion after the race, standing near the podium is ideal for an up-close view of the celebrations and forgetting that memorable post-race experience.

With these tips in mind, you’ll be sure to make the most of your time at the World Superbike Championship!
